Fables

As part of our new Ancient Greeks theme we are looking at different types of Stories. Myths, Legends and Fables. Do you know the difference? Can you find out?

We are looking at Fables first. Do you know any fables? A famous fable Author?

As part of your homework tasks this week you should use the following links to read some more fables.

Look how they are set out? What are their features?

Have you found one you really like? Why? What is the moral of your chosen fable?

THIS IS A HOMEWORK POST

I like the Fable called the Lion and the Dolphin by Aesop.I like it because it is very interesting and tells you that because someone can do one thing it does not mean that he can do everything. It does not mean that you should call someone names because they can't do it.Eg. The dolphin said he would be friends with the lion because they are both rulers but, the dolphin couldn't leave the water to help the lion, when he was in trouble.

HOMEWORK

My favourite fable is called the Lion in Love fable. It is about a young girl and a lion and the lion wants to marry the girl, but her father doesn't want his daughter to marry the king of beasts ,he is to violent. So the girls dad says "if you have your claws and teeth removed you can marry my daughter". The Lion was in so much love he had is claws and teeth removed and when he went back to them they simply laughed.

The moral of the story is love can tame the wildest.

it is on the second link and you should read it too.

Homework

My favourite fable is called The Sick Lion.I like the fable ,The Sick Lion, because it teaches me a lesson that you can't take advantage of people when there is something wrong with them even though they have done something wrong in the past. The moral of the story is not to mean to people even if they have been mean to you in the past.

HOMEWORK

My favourite fable is called the Lion, the FOx and the beast, By Aesop.
THe lion says that he is going to die so he gets all the animals to go and speak to him, But one didn't!
I reckon this is a great fable. The moral of the story is it is easier to get into the enemy toil than out again

This is for homework.
My favorite fable was the
tortoise and the
hare.
I really liked it because,
the way the tortoise
spoke, it was like she was really
standing up for her self.
And the hare was like being
a BIG show off!
And i heard this a lot of
times in movies.

That...
you can't judge a book from it's cover!
I bet you heard that a lot
of times as well.

Thank you for reading!
